BBT 9000 SERIES15/20HP

THE FREIGHT WAS QUICK. THE MACHINE WOULD NOT START, THE EMERGENCY STOP SWITCH WAS STUCK AFTER FIXING THE MULCHER STARTED AND IS WORKING. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE WAY ITS WORKING.

BBT 9000 Series 15hp Petrol 420cc Electric Start Garden Wood Chipper/Mulcher

I'll start by rating the machine very highly, it does everything I expected of it, very happy!

Straight forward assembly BUT, due to a random M8 bolt having lodged between the drum and the machine body which stopped the rotation, the entire drum assembly had to be disassembled! It was the only way to remove the bolt.

I'm talking complete removal of bearings, drive belts etc.

Whilst the process wasn't too challenging, it was time consuming and annoying for a new machine. Fortunately I hadn't tried to actually start the engine, I had tried to turn it over manually in case of such a problem.

Technical assistance was in the form of text messages with someone who didn't seem to have any useful product knowledge.

Bottom line.... now very happy with my machine ?

Great machine.

This chipper is a great machine we have given ours a massive work out .The only issue I have is the bolts that hold the shute in position have stripped.

BBT 9000 CHIPPER

The BBT 9000 chipper came in a plywood box, removed all the heavy parts and assembled, greased the nipples on the cutting shaft, add 1.1l oil to the engine and fuel in the tank I also added a little 2stroke oil in the petrol just to run the engine in...at over 170kg this machine is on the heavy side and difficult to shift on a sloping block, I made a simple tow bar out of 32mm pipe (see pics) so I could tow it behind my small tractor, having owned a chipper in the past (pretty crappy) I wanted something heavy duty that would actually chip reasonable branches, for those wondering if this machine is just a waste of money having put it through a hard day's work I'm impressed with the result, this chipper is amazingly good and perfect for my bush acreage, I would recommend this machine to serious buyers...

Om nom nom nom

This beast eats the branches like the cookie monster eats cookies. Really easy to assemble, the battery lead problem has been fixed (nice long leads). Just be careful if you're towing it behind a car on uneven surfaces - take the bumper feet off first as they will likely strike the ground and can bend.

Starting instructions were a little unclear. Make sure the fuel lever (to open and close fuel flow) is positioned to the right (open), and choke lever to the left when first starting. Otherwise, awesome.
